Addovation help Swedish company ROL realize a fully automated manufacturing facility
ROL launched the project Factory 2.0 – second generation of ROL factories – in the beginning of 2017. ROL evaluated several vendors to help them secure a seamless integration between their ERP solution IFS Applications™ 9 and the planned, robotized, fully automated production plant. “To meet our customers’ increasing demands we needed to take our manufacturing and business processes to the next level,” said Mats Berg, Global Head of SCM & Global COO, ROL Group.
The integration project started late August 2017 and went live in Q1 2018. Commenting on the success of the project, program manager and overall responsible for the Factory 2.0 implementation, Anders Bråhn said, “We are more than satisfied with our Factory 2.0 partners and we would highly recommend Addovation and their products for other integration projects. For us, a strong, flexible and agile partner with experience in connecting and integrating IFS Applications with other systems was the most important consideration. We chose Addovation because of the demonstrated strength of its product, the Automation & Integration Server, coupled with the flexible and user-friendly message tracker. Another key factor was Addovation’s ability to quickly understand our needs and connect our ERP software to our industry Robots and AGV-fork lifts.”
“We are very pleased and excited that ROL selected Addovation and our automation products for supporting their strategic business projects,” said Jens-Magnus Andersson, Addovation Customer Services Manager and responsible for the implementation project at ROL. “Addovation’s innovative products, industry expertise, and the world-class business software suite IFS Applications has been proven to be an excellent, reliable and cost-efficient combination. ROL Group is now prepared and connected for the next level of manufacturing!”
