Sigrid Marie Saastad is Marketing Manager at Addovation

By Sigrid Marie Saastad

Marketing Manager, Addovation

Tomas, you just started working for us! What are your thoughts so far?

I have been working with Integrations and ERP for many years now, so many of the tasks and people I am working with here at Addovation are already familiar to me. However, several things make Addovation stand out. I feel very welcome at Addovation. Despite being here just a few months, I already feel like I am part of the Addovation family. This is partly due to the company culture, characterized by transparency and quick decisions. Also, being one of the first employees on the Integration team has been very exciting. I can already see how the demand for our services is growing. We have many exciting projects in the pipeline. I am looking forward to being part of this journey!

That sounds very exciting! Tell us, what do you do at Addovation?

I work in Addovation’s Integration Team called Connect. I work with integrations of IFS, NetSuite, and other systems, using integration platforms such as Azure Integration Services, BizTalk, and Boomi. My main task is to find great ways of integrating processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy. Currently, I’m working with integrations for an international healthcare company and an international power company.

I am also involved in presale, where I talk to existing and potential customers about their integration needs and propose solutions that will help them improve their processes. My days at Addovation are varied, and that is just the way I like it! I also work a lot in teams, which is essential to create great solutions.

What is the best part of working with ERP and Integrations?

I love that I get to work with so many different customers, systems, and solutions – and create integrations that will improve efficiency and help people. ERP might sound very technical and maybe even boring to some people, but bear in mind that an ERP system supports the most central processes in a company and greatly affects a company’s employees. The way I see it, ERP, and especially ERP integrations, are fascinating.

What are the significant trends in Integrations these days?

I recently attended the Integrate remote 2021 summit, which was very inspirational. One of the major trends covered was ‘Build Once, Run Everywhere .’ The customer decides if they would like to run their integrations on-premise or in the cloud.

What do you like the most about being a Solution Architect?

I enjoy being in contact with our customers and getting to work with different customers in different industries. It can be anything from an Electric Power company to a fast-food chain! The variety and the possibility to meet other people and help them with their challenges are very giving. Some people ask me if working with integrations and technology feels a bit cold. Still, technology is here to help people and create added value.

What would be your advice to people wanting to get a job at Addovation?

At Addovation, you will meet a lot of exciting and talented people. You will learn a lot and take part in the process from development to implementation and see the benefits it will bring to its users! So do not hesitate, and send us your CV.

Thanks to Tomas for a very inspiring chat!
