Cloud computing for IFS Applications
Cloud computing refers to using a common and shared pool of computing resources made available as a service to the customers using them. The benefits for end customers are that they don’t need to have knowledge of, expertise in, or maintain the technology infrastructure “in the cloud” that supports them. Instead of purchasing, installing and operating the servers and infrastructure themselves, it is provided by a third party specialising in cloud technology, and customers simply use it. For applications with a load that varies significantly over time, another benefit is that with cloud computing it is relatively easy to assign more (or less) resources to the application.
