A solid foundation for future growth with IFS Cloud
Headquartered in Kalmar, Sweden, Norden Machinery is a world-leading manufacturer of high-performance tube filling systems, delivering solutions to customers in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, and industrial sectors around the world. The company has a history stretching back almost 150 years and is today part of the Coesia Group. Every year, Norden supplies around 150 packaging systems to customers worldwide, and roughly 5,000 of its machines are in operation globally.
A key part of the company’s operations is the ERP system IFS. Norden Machinery has recently completed an upgrade to IFS Cloud, together with Addovation, a partner it has worked with for a long time.
Jonas Lind is IT Manager at Norden Machinery, and has followed the project closely from the start:
– Addovation knows us well, and we have a collaboration that goes back a long way. So when it was time to upgrade to IFS Cloud, continuing with them as our partner was a natural choice.
A partnership built on trust
Norden Machinery has recently gone live with IFS Cloud, and both the project and the transition went according to plan.
– We kept to the schedule throughout the project. What really stood out to us was Addovation’s project methodology – it was very easy to follow, and it gave us confidence along the way, says Jonas Lind.
The collaboration was characterized by strong staffing on both sides, involving several people from both Norden Machinery and Addovation throughout the process. This effort, combined with a clear methodology, is something both parties point to as key to the transition to IFS Cloud going smoothly, more or less without a hitch.
A long-term partnership going forward
Norden Machinery has been working with Addovation on managed services since signing the upgrade project, including hosting of its IFS Cloud solution. More recently, Norden Machinery has also signed an Engage agreement with Addovation, further strengthening the partnership and securing ongoing managed services and operations.
– We see Addovation as more than a supplier, they are a long-term partner for us. With the Engage agreement in place, we’ve laid a solid foundation to keep developing IFS Cloud together, says Jonas Lind.
With a modern IFS Cloud platform in place, and an agreement securing ongoing operations and development, Norden Machinery and Addovation have laid the groundwork for a partnership that extends well beyond the upgrade itself.
– We’ve worked with Addovation for a long time, and this process has only confirmed that we have the right partner by our side. We’re looking forward to continuing the journey with IFS Cloud, says Jonas Lind.
