From Law to Tech: My Incredible Journey with Addovation
My name is Kavindi Palihena, and I come from the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. I am excited to share my incredible journey with Addovation, a journey that has been truly transformative.
Thanks to a valuable opportunity, I joined Addovation on a contract basis as a Project Manager Assistant. Coming from a legal background, stepping into the IT world was both challenging and exciting!

The team at Addovation has been more than just colleagues; they have been mentors, guiding me through the complexities of the IT landscape with patience and kindness. Their support has been crucial as I navigated my responsibilities, primarily dealing with the Jira application for the projects in Munters. Their guidance has been instrumental in helping me understand and excel in my role, despite my fresh entry into the IT sector.
Opportunities and new experiences
My legal background has also allowed me to contribute uniquely to Addovation. I have had the chance to assist with documentation reviews, ensuring that our projects are not only innovative but also compliant and well-documented. This blend of IT and legal work has enriched my experience and allowed me to leverage my skills in diverse ways.
In addition to my project management and legal responsibilities, I have also contributed to Addovation’s knowledge base by writing blogs. Topics I have covered include IFS, DocGen, and ERP systems. These writing opportunities have allowed me to delve deeper into these technologies, enhancing my understanding and enabling me to share insights with a broader audience.
