Addovation appoints Espen Odland Larsen as CFO

Espen Odland Larsen has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Addovation and will take up the position on January 1st 2027. He has more than 20 years of experience as a finance leader in Nordic and international software companies, and joins from his current role as CFO of Milient, which has grown through several acquisitions across Europe in recent years.

Experience from the software industry

Espen Odland Larsen has been CFO of Milient since 2024. Before that, he was CFO of Banqsoft and held several senior finance roles at Trintech, including Vice President Finance Europe. He was also CFO of Adra Software for more than ten years and of Telenor Cinclus.

Banks are raising the bar. Here’s how your ERP can keep up

Banks increasingly expect structured address data in international and SEPA payments, and the requirements and timelines differ by bank and country. It is one of several new requirements that put pressure on the link between your ERP and your banks. Together with Cobase, Addovation helps IFS Cloud and NetSuite customers keep their payments flowing.

New rules land in your ERP 

Swift and the European Payments Council (EPC) are phasing out fully unstructured addresses in payment messages based on the ISO 20022 standard. Every payment will need to include at least the town and country of the parties, in dedicated fields. 

The original deadline was November 2026. Both Swift and the EPC have since postponed it, and new dates are expected later this year. But the direction is unchanged. Some banks and countries are keeping earlier deadlines, and some already require structured addresses. Those banks may reject or delay payments that don’t meet their requirements. In July 2026, Swift reported that almost 60 percent of payment messages still contained unstructured addresses. 

Swift is clear about who owns this: you source the addresses of your suppliers, store them in your ERP or treasury system and send them to the bank when you pay. 

In the euro area, banks have also checked since October 2025 that the payee’s name matches the account number before a transfer goes through. This is called Verification of Payee. 

Many banks, many formats 

For a company with one bank in one country, this is manageable. For international companies it quickly gets complex. Each bank has its own file formats, connection methods, local requirements and timelines. Expecting your ERP to handle all of that directly is not realistic.

Nord Gas Solutions transforms operations across multiple countries with IFS Cloud and Addovation

Nord Gas Solutions, a provider of gas systems and lifecycle solutions, has selected IFS Cloud with Addovation as its implementation partner, supporting the company’s operations across multiple countries.

The new solution will provide a common digital platform for managing complex, project-based operations – from CRM and finance to engineering, procurement, delivery, and lifecycle services. The agreement includes IFS Cloud licenses, hosting, implementation and Addovation Engage for long-term support and continuous development.

The implementation will be rolled out in phases. The first phase will cover four countries and is planned to be completed within nine months. Further countries will follow in the next phase.

One platform for complex, project-based operations

Nord Gas Solutions operates in an environment where projects, engineering, subcontracting and lifecycle services are closely connected. This places high demands on project control, cost visibility and the ability to follow a project from initial design through delivery and service.

IFS Cloud is designed to support project-driven and engineer-to-order businesses, connecting these processes in one platform – giving Nord Gas Solutions a stronger foundation for managing projects across countries, improving cost control and creating better visibility throughout the project lifecycle.

Fast implementation with a long-term perspective

A key part of the project is speed. Addovation and Nord Gas Solutions will work towards a tightly defined MVP for the first four countries, with the first phase planned within nine months.

At the same time, the solution is being designed with the wider international organization in mind. The next phase will extend IFS Cloud to further countries, with plans to further develop the platform’s capabilities over time, including AI-driven functionality within IFS Cloud.

“Ten months ago, we started talking with SEBSA about whether we should do something together. We have a very similar culture, and we both have broad experience working with IFS. We asked each other: how can we do something together to strengthen our position while also creating value for our customers? So for a couple of months now, we’ve started drawing on parts of each other’s experience and expertise in projects,” says Mikael Johansson, Interim CEO at Addovation.

“No company can move fast enough on its own to deliver the innovations the market is actually demanding. If anyone claims they can do it alone, I find that hard to believe, because things are moving so incredibly fast,” says Martin Gunnarsson, SVP Growth & Innovation, Addovation & SEBSA.

SEBSA, headquartered in Sri Lanka, operates across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, the US and Canada. The company has broad experience with IFS across a wide range of industries. Addovation and SEBSA have previously collaborated on several concrete projects. Now the collaboration is being taken a step further as the partnership is formalized.

Muthuraja Nanayakkara, Group CEO of SEBSA, notes that close ties between Nordic companies and professional communities in Sri Lanka are nothing new in the industry.

“This is an industry that takes time to build, and there are many examples of Nordic and Sri Lanka-based companies joining forces. Still, this is about far more than simply signing an agreement. We’ve worked purposefully, met, and tested the collaboration on concrete assignments over the past few months. That has shown us that we’re a very good match for each other,” says Nanayakkara.

He emphasizes that the goal is to become a long-term, reliable IFS transformation partner for customers.

Addovation has appointed Charlotte Berg as its new Chief Executive Officer. She will take up the position on October 5 and lead Addovation into its next phase of growth, with a clear focus on strengthening the company’s position as a Nordic business technology partner and creating greater business value for customers through expertise, close collaboration and new technology.

Fagerhult accelerates digital transformation with Azure Integration Services

Addovation has signed an agreement with Fagerhult, a leading European lighting company, to modernize its integration platform, transitioning from BizTalk to Azure Integration Services.

The deal represents an important step in Fagerhult’s ongoing digital transformation and lays a strong foundation for future digital initiatives.

By replacing legacy-based integration with a scalable, cloud-native platform, Fagerhult will gain increased agility and improved access to data across systems. Modern integration is a key enabler for unlocking the full potential of digitalization, where seamless data flow and real-time insights are critical.

The project will be delivered in close collaboration between Addovation and Fagerhult, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

BOS Power Partners with Addovation to Enable Full Lifecycle Management of Energy Systems with IFS Cloud

BOS Power has selected Addovation as its strategic partner for the implementation, hosting, and long-term development of IFS Cloud™ for Project-based Manufacturing and Service.

The initiative marks a significant step in strengthening BOS Power’s capabilities in delivering and servicing critical energy solutions across their full lifecycle.

“Together with Addovation, we have established a strong, unified team and a clear direction for our transformation,” said Anders Hopsdal, Head of Digital Solutions at BOS Power.  “With IFS Cloud, we are taking a significant step toward more structured, scalable, and end-to-end operations, laying the foundation for our future growth.”

The new platform will provide BOS Power with full end-to-end control, from sales, production, delivery, installation, and long-term service.

The initiative aligns with key trends in the energy sector, where increased focus on lifecycle traceability, service-centric business models, and standardized, scalable delivery is becoming essential. IFS Cloud will support BOS Power’s transition toward more mature order processes, enabling reuse of components, and automated updates to product and item data.

The solution will strengthen BOS Power’s core processes across sales, production, supply chain management, and service execution. Built-in checklists, structured workflows, and digital sign-off will support a shift toward consistent, process-driven operations.

“The combination of project-based manufacturing and service is where we see the greatest value for BOS Power,” said Karolina Nichols, Project Delivery Director at Addovation “With IFS Cloud, we are enabling a fully connected process, from sales to service, that supports both operational efficiency and long-term scalability.”

The platform will be deployed across multiple countries and sites, including Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, unifying BOS Power’s operations in one system. This enables group-level financial consolidation, improved visibility, and advanced reporting through Power BI, supported by a modern integration platform connecting supplier systems, banking, payroll, and other key applications.

BOS Power selected Addovation based on its strong expertise in project-based manufacturing and service, as well as its proven methodology tailored to Nordic companies. Addovation will deliver a full-service offering including implementation, cloud hosting, licenses, and continuous updates through an evergreen model.

The project is planned over a 12-month period, with go-live scheduled for December 2026.
